Dr. Carlson

Dr. Rick Carlson

Hi, I’m Dr. Carlson, a chiropractor located in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, here to help you do what you want to do physically, with a pain-free back and body.

My Unique Approach

What sets me apart from other chiropractors is, among other things, the range of people and conditions I’ve treated. I have experience treating everyone from chronic pain patients to professional MLB, NFL and former Olympic athletes. This wide range of experience has led to a broad and deep understanding of biomechanics, which allows me to provide you with the most up-to-date, evidence-based care.

The Whole Picture

Your chiropractic sessions with me include a big picture understanding of everything going on in your body. No one condition is isolated. It’s important to understand how the pieces fit together. Each body part affects the other. I’ll treat you as a whole being, not just someone with a “back issue” or a “neck pain.” This way, your comfort and performance will receive long-lasting and lifelong improvement and not just a quick fix.

Specialization

I specialize in human biomechanics to help reduce pain and restore function. I am one of the few chiropractors in Atlantic County that is certified in Active Release Technique and to utilize the Graston Technique.

Credentials

I earned my degree at New York Chiropractic College. I completed my residency at the South Shore Neurologic Associates (Chronic Pain division) in Long Island. After completing my residency, I spent time as an associate in Blackwood, NJ.

During my time at NYCC, I was President of the Sports Science Human Performance Club, which helped me mold and develop the Rehab To Performance Club (R2P).

Both of these clubs were instrumental in guiding me towards my career as a chiropractor.

Always Learning

Continuing education consists of attending post-graduate classes all over North America, where I connect with other top Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Personal Trainers and Manual Therapists in the field of musculoskeletal health. Seminar topics attended in the past include Active Release Technique, Motion Palpation, Graston, Selective Functional Movement Assessment and seminars taught by Dr. Liebenson and Dr. McGill, leaders in their fields.
